Wiley India participated in the 43rd edition of the New Delhi World Book Fair 2016, from 9th – 17th Jan, where we displayed our key titles at a stall. The theme of the event this year was Indian cultural heritage, including yoga. The event was organized by the NBT and co-organized by India Trade Promotion Organization (ITPO). The fair attracts participation from major publishing houses from around the world and has established itself as a gateway to India for the global book publishing industry.
The Wiley stall received a heavy footfall this year, with recommendations from faculty of leading and key authors, including the author of the popular GATE series. The Wiley Wall of Fame was displayed at our stall which received an overwhelming response, with participants writing ‘why I love Wiley books’ messages on the board. Extensive social media promotions were undertaken, including the #ILoveWileyBooks hashtag and a special offer of discount coupons and freebies for participants who ‘like’ the Wiley India page on Facebook. Wiley’s mascot- the ‘Dummy Man’ was also a popular attraction and caught the attention of many visitors.
